Easy Hearty Stew Recipes Brings All Parts Of The Dish In One Pot
Easy hearty stew recipes are great and allow adjustment to any amount and taste. The least tender meat cuts, often cheaper than prime cuts, work well in a stew. And then add whatever you like. Such as spices to determine the taste, pulses to make it creamy and filling, vegetables, and end it with fresh herbs. Simmered, it mingles into a hearty dish.
How to go about cooking a hearty stew?
Soak the pulses you intend to use overnight.
- The first steps to fill your pot. Braise the meat or fish of your choice.
- Then add some water and let it simmer. In the meantime, add onions, spices, and dried herbs.
- Follow with the overnight soaked pulses of your choice and some
additional liquid, water, stock, wine, or beer. In our household, we
usually choose water with a bit of vegetable stock powder and cover just
the content to get a thick stew. Adding more liquid can stretch the
dish and transform it into a soup.
- While the meat and pulses
simmer, prepare the vegetables in the sequence of their required
cooking. And add them one after another.
- Lastly, add the freshly washed and cut herb. Now the meal is ready to serve.
Often we add a slice of freshly baked or toasted homemade bread.
